CP of 1st atricle = 6600/120 x 100 = 5500
CP of 2nd article = 6000
Total CP = Rs. 11500
Total SP = Rs. 13200
% profit = 1700/11500 x 100 = 14.78%

Reqd % prrofit = 100(20 + 10) + (2 x 20 x 10)/(100 + 20) + (100 + 10) = 3400/230 = 14.78%
When 60 is subtracted from a number, it reduces to its 13/25 part. Find the number.
Let the number be x. Then x - 60 = 13/25 x = x = 125
A reduction of Rs 2 per kg enables a man to purchase 4 kg more sugar for Rs 16. Find the original price (in Rs/kg) of sugar ?
Let the orriginal price of sugar be Rs x per kg
Quantity purchased is 16/x kg.
After reduction quantity purchased = 16/x - 2kg
Also, 16/x - 2 = 16/x + 4 = x = 4
