Direction (Q. 1 - 5) : Each of the following series consists of seven figures, two of which at the ends are u nnum bercd. One of the five numbered figures does not fit into the series. Find out the figure.
The circle and the star move halfway on different diagonals in each step. The remaining two elements move by one side ACW. '=' sign remains as it is whereas the other one assumes a new shape after every two Steps.
One dement shifts diagonally, the next to it on ACW side moves one side CW, and the one after that on ACW side moves one side ACW. A new element appears in the fourth corner. These movements move one side ACW.
The lower elements on the left diagonal move halfway upward while the topmo«» element shifts to the bottom on tiie same diagonal. "T keeps on shifting ends diagonally. So does the fifth element but it changesshape alternately.
The top left element moves to bottomright, the topright becomes botto mmiddle, the bottom left becomes topmiddle, and the top middle becomes top right in the next step. The remaining two places are occupied by new elements.
There are two patterns of movement alternately. In the first step, the first element (starting from the CW side) moves V» side ACW, the second element one side ACW, while the third element changes shape at its own Position. Each subsequent element undergoes a shift of Vi side ACW. In the next step, the ACWend element shifts halfaside ACW while others reverse their order. A new element is added at the ACW end.
Direction (Q. 6 - 10) : Each of the following questions consists of unmarked figures followed by five figures marked 1,2,3,4 and 5. Select a figure from the marked figures which will continue the series established by the unmarked figures.
In each step, the curve with a circle rotates by 90° ACW. The bent arrow gets inverted laterally and vertically alternately. The outer squarelike element rotaes by 90° CW in each step while the inner one gets inverted vertically in alternate Steps. The elements move one side CW in each step.
In the first step, the elements move from position 3 t o l → 4 → 6 → 9 → 7 while a new element appears at upperright Position. In the next step the elements move from
